Piano Roll to MIDI File Transcribing Machine
By Piotr Barcz

Hello all, I thought I would share an idea I had for a piano roll to
MIDI file scanning machine. As many of you know, the action stack
of a Standard action has all the note strikers in a column. When you
take the stack and pumps out of the piano, you could make a player
thing that just makes the strikers move.

I was thinking that you could mount switches to the striker fingers.
Then you could connect this setup to a MIDI capture program and you
could possibly scan rolls directly into MIDI files without the bridging
errors and notes that repeat so fast that scanners just make them one
note.

If anyone succeeds in building something like this, I would love to
here from them!
