"Good Bait" is on my mind -- not fishing bait but musical "...Bait".
'Bout 1958, Nina Simone, singer, pianist and great musician came
out with an album on Bethlehem Records. I was fortunate in getting
a "Greatest Hits" album a number of years later that had a certain
number of songs from her first album.
One song, in particular, which was really neat, was entitled
"Good Bait". I still have the recording, but it is also on YouTube:

Shortly thereafter I also found on YouTube a recording that doesn't
have Nina's bass and percussion:

I began thinking that it would be great to have a piano roll of this
piece (for piano only), maybe even an Ampico B roll! I sent an e-mail
to the gentleman who recorded the piano-only version, who lives in the
Netherlands, but he doesn't especially seem interested in making a MIDI
recording, which seems to be the first step in making a piano roll
these days.
Is there a sort of accomplished pianist who thinks that they have the
chops to make a midi file of this piece of music? I do have access to
the sheet music if necessary. Those people who have heard the recording
feel that it is a great piece of music and does have the capability to
make a great roll.
Any takers? Please send an e-mail to me or call 1-716-656-9583 for
more info or if you have any questions. Thanks very much!
