To answer Gary Blizzard's question in 200419 MMDigest, I have copies
of the Tune Card Identification Book published by the British Music
Box Society. It's a wealth of information, with pictures in both
black & white and color of hundreds of tune cards. The book comes
with _four_ supplement publications. The book (soft-cover) including
4 supplements is $55 plus postage.
I also have the new book put out by Baud Freres ($60); Kevin
McElhones's Disc Box Book ($60); the supplements to Kevin McElhone's
Organette Book ($45.50) and Disc Box Book ($51); the new book on
Swiss Music Box Makers by Bellamy ($75); the Encyclopedia of
Automatic Musical Instruments (Bowers, 1974) ($50-$70, used); books
on automata; and hundreds of hard-to-find used books about music
boxes, orchestrions, band organs, pianos and other automatic music
instruments! Lots of good stuff to read while we're sequestered!
Stay safe everyone,
