We all meet diverse personalities in the hobbies we enjoy; most of
them warm and friendly.  Charlie went beyond warm and friendly --
he shared his expertise with all who asked for it, seeking nothing
in return.

Last year I brought a collection of 29 organettes to the 44th annual
Music Box & Phonograph show in Union, Illinois.  Organettes are not
one of my specialties, but I knew just who to ask for some guidance.
Knowing he'd be at the show, I emailed Charlie and asked for his help
in correctly tagging and determining the condition of the pieces.
He didn't hesitate.  He spent hours with me before and during the show
educating me.

A man of kind heart and gentle personality, always willing to share
and help.  Wouldn't it be nice if more people in the world were like
that?

While I only saw him once a year and we emailed in-between, I'll
always smile when I see an organette, because it will remind me of
Charlie!  (There are _a lot_ of organettes out there, so I guess
I'll be smiling a lot!)
