Glen Echo Park Carousel Vandalized

I just received word from Durward Center, who maintains the Glen
Echo Park band organ, that the carousel building at Glen Echo Park
was vandalized over the weekend.

The building has been closed for several months while undergoing
modernization and the Wurlitzer 165 band organ had been removed
during the remodeling process.  So it was safe.

And while the building was somewhat damaged by the vandals,
apparently the carousel horses were untouched.  Here is a report:
