Hello all! May I proudly inform you that Vol. 137 of the journal,
"Das mechanische Musikinstrument", is on its way to all of the
members of the German association, "Gesellschaft für Selbstspielende
Musikinstrumente" (GSM). We again offer a wide collection of articles
about mechanical musical instruments.
The 137th edition consists of 60 pages. We are very proud to welcome
a new author, Claudia Nauheim, whose article you may read in the link
at the end of this announcement. Another of the articles was sent in
from collectors of electric-powered motors which drove most of the
pianolas produced in Germany.
If you're interested in more modern machinery the story about Martin
Molin's Marble Machine may find Your interest. PD Birgit Heise plans
a symposium for mechanical musical instruments from 28th to 30th August
2020 at Leipzig (GE).
The agenda for the 2nd Global Piano Roll Meeting from 25th to 28th
September 2020 at Bern and Seewen (CH), which was [originally] planned
06th to 08th June 2020, is presented by Sebastian Bausch, one of the
organistion's staff.
Please note that all meetings and their announced dates may be
provisional due to the COVID-19 pandemic!
The board of our association, co-editor Walter Tenten and I wish you
all to stay healthy!
