Coin Piano in Movie "The Roaring Twenties"
By Dave Krall
In the 1939 Warner Bros. movie, "The Roaring Twenties," starring
Jimmy Cagney, there is a scene with gunfight in a restaurant with
a coin piano playing. Very briefly you get to see the upper left
corner of the piano as it gets a bullet through one of its oval
vertical glass windows. If you watch carefully you can see that
the piano is actually playing.
I've looked through the Bowers Encyclopedia but I didn't see any
coin pianos with that vertical oval glass. Can anyone identify the
piano?
Attached is a screenshot from the movie. You can see the scene

P.S.: I am always looking for the 7" wide brass Telektra piano rolls.
