Dear Jody, I have considered putting the "Register of Cylinder Musical
Boxes" on the Internet but the trouble is that people keep adding to it,
which results in many different versions.
There are two trusted people who have the Register on their computers,
and when I fall off my perch they will take over.
For the moment I suggest we leave things as they are so we don't get
too many cooks spoiling the broth!

P.S.: In the Microsoft Access database program, is there a failsafe way
of enabling people to read a file whilst preventing them from editing
or altering the file?
[ You've described a knotty problem, Arthur: how to allow researchers
[ to access the data, and also to enable contributions of more data,
[ while at the same time maintaining authenticating references (the
[ "paper trail"), the change log (version numbers), and warding off
[ accidental or malicious damage. How does Wikipedia do this job?
