MIDI-controlled Self-playing Banjo
By Roger Wiegand

Bravo to Wayne Finger for building a well done new machine! I'd be
fascinated to hear more about this instrument, in particular what were
the issues or problems with the Encore-type mechanisms that this new
design were intended to address, and how they were approached?

As a failed banjo player myself I'd love to see a new design capable of
replicating clawhammer and three finger (bluegrass) styles of playing.
Getting the machine to do the equivalent of hammer-ons and pull-offs
with the left hand mechanisms would be quite the challenge!
