The AMICA Bulletin's January-February 2020 edition has been published,
and the electronic pdf edition has been sent to all AMICA members
who have provided their email address. The print edition should be
received by around Christmas.
Among the featured content are articles by Tom Meijer on arranging
contemporary music for mechanical organs, and Mike Walter's photo
and list essay about QRS box labels as seen through the works of
Frank Milne.
If you aren't an AMICA member, now would be the ideal time to join,
as the beginning of the year allows your membership dues to work for
the entire 2020 year with six full issues of the AMICA Bulletin.
The upcoming May-June issue will be our special Membership Directory,
published only once every three years. Besides a complete membership
roster, it includes special, premium content that will include a
mechanical music data base compendium that provides listings and
sources of mechanical music reference material, files, and valuable
information.
Also included will be a multi-faceted work on music roll and file
preservation and the value of MIDI file transcriptions to promote new
interest in mechanical music. This special issue is alone worth AMICA
Membership.
