In posting 191010 MMDigest, Paul Bellamy refers to works of the
late H. A. V. Bulleid which he says are now out of print. For
many years Mr. Bulleid contributed to a regular feature in The
Music Box, the quarterly journal of The Musical Box Society of
Great Britain (MBSGB). These 'Oddments', as they were known, and
any other pieces by him can be accessed on-line by going to the
Society's website and looking through the past Journals. It is
possible to search them by reference to the author.
As for Mr. Bulleid's commentaries on tune sheets, the MBSGB still
holds many copies of its publication of The Cylinder Musical Box
Tune Sheet book along with all of its four supplements which may be
purchased (for details see website, below.) The fourth supplement
completes the collation of H. A. V. Bulleid's commentaries, as well
as publishing commentaries on several dozen more by Tim Reed who took
over at Mr. Bulleid's suggestion, bringing the total number to 514.
May I assure your readers that whatever may have befallen other
publishers, MBSGB has not gone out of business!
