Passing of Larry McGowan, Rye Playland Carousel

I learned yesterday from Dan Wilke of the death of Larry McGowan,
a Brooklynite and longtime employee of Rye Playland amusement park.,
where he worked on the carousel and took care of its band organ for
thirty-five years. Larry (Lawrence) was also an occasional contributor
to the MMD [as Lawrence McGowan].
