Mechanical Music in the Movies
By David Burgess

A&R Marenghi Fairground Organ In "Paddington 2"

A few days ago I watched the movie "Paddington 2". In the train
scene there appears to be the A&R Marenghi Fairground Organ that goes
to shows, like the Great Dorset Steam Fair in the UK. When it's
played in "Paddington 2" the sound appears to be fictitious, unlike
how it sounds in real life.

I don't have a scene of it, but I saw it. In the scene, when the
A&R Marenghi was on the train, Paddington Bear slipped in with
a [music] book, hopefully for use with that organ. However, that
caused the organ to stop playing. I can't believe, though, that's
another movie with mechanical music!
