Forming the Contour of a Valve Pouch
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, Regarding Dave Krall's posting about how pouches were
installed at the factory back in the early days, I don't have any
pictures of how they did the job. However, I do have graphic from
the Third Edition (April 1925) of the Standard Player Action
Company ('Principles of Player Action Operation) service manual.

At the beginning of the paragraph that explains how to make
a pouch setting tool, it reads, "In the player action factory,
a metal form is used to seat the pouch properly, and give it its
proper concave shape."

Musically,
John A Tuttle
