Hello all, greeting from Wales in the UK. I am researching a writer
and composer of Music Hall songs. His name was Henry (Harry) Beckett.
He lived in Hoxton, Shoreditch, right on the East End of London, from
1867 to 1915.
He described himself as a songwriter. He used the name Harry Beckett
for his compositions (not to be confused with Harry Beckett, the
British jazz trumpeter, who lived 1935-2010).
Many of his songs have survived in sheet music form. I am seeking
information on the possibility of any of his music being recorded
for mechanical music, e.g., organette disc, folding card book music,
piano roll, or phonograph cylinder.
The sheet music titles and publisher are listed below, also the singer
or performers, where known.
Songs published by E. Marks & Son:
- All the Girls Love Tommy Atkins, 1910.
- Little Daffodil I Love You, 1910.
- When the Home is Tidy, 1910.

- Oh, Mister White Moon, 1911.
- You Are the Girl I Love, 1912, sung by Harry Kamp.
- Hampstead on a Holiday, 1910, sung by Daisy Read.
- Daisy, My Darling Daisy, 1909, sung by The Two Rubies (USA?).
