Passing of Richard Reutlinger, AMICA Founder
By Roy Powlan
Richard Reutlinger, the last remaining founder of AMICA, died
yesterday during a home concert at his home in San Francisco.
He died shortly after intermission.
A more fitting end to his remarkable life could hardly be conceived
with his lifelong dedication to beautiful music and sharing that
love with as many people as possible. Richard died in the grand
parlor of his Victorian mansion where AMICA was founded in 1963.
Whether you knew him personally or not, everyone even remotely
associated with automatic music machines have benefited from the
life of Richard Reutlinger. His exuberant joy for life and joyful
eccentricity will be remembered fondly for a very long time.
Thank you Richard, for everything.
