On behalf of the Manuel de Falla Foundation in Granada, Spain,
Dr. José María Martín Valverde of Seville is looking for collectors,
museums, archives and music libraries that might have pianola rolls
with music by Maestro Manuel de Falla. He writes:
"We know that Maestro Falla contracted the recording of some of his
pianola works under the Pleyel and Pleyela brands. More specifically,
the suite "The Three-Cornered Hat (El sombrero de tres picos)" (Pleyela
8401..8405) and the "Seven Popular Spanish Songs (Siete canciones
populares Españolas)" (Pleyela 9334..9339), among others.
He seeks also rolls made in Spain by Victoria and Princesa, as well
as rolls by Aeolian, Duo-Art, Ampico and Welte Mignon. If you can help
please contact me or Dr. Martín Valverde at
