Mechanical Music Auction in Cologne 18 May 2019

Dear MMDs,  Auction Team Breker's Spring sale of Mechanical Music,
Science, Technology and Antique Toys takes place on 18 May in Cologne,
 Germany.  On offer are over 200 lots of mechanical music, including
gramophones, pneumatic instruments, cylinder and disc musical boxes,
singing birds and automata.

Highlights include an automaton book-playing organ by Franz Oerhlein
(Lot 457), a fine silver-gilt and enamel singing bird box by Charles
Bruguier (Lot 475), a Polyphon Style 2 Automatic Disc-Changer (Lot 490)
and a superb Nicole Frères grand format variations musical box playing
a single air by Mendelssohn (Lot 513).

The preview takes place on Friday 17 May from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and
from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. on sale day.  Additional appointments can be
arranged with the auctioneer.
