Sousa "Liberty Bell" as Two Step vs. March
By Andrew Lardieri

Matthew Caulfield (with the help of myself and Glenn Thomas) has
recently completed an article about Charles Nilson's arrangement of
"Liberty Bell", by John Philip Sousa, of being identified a both
a march and a two step which resulted in Wurlitzer getting its money's
worth in investing in making the decision to put the tune on multiple
Style 165 band organ rolls.

The idea of this wonderful article came about whilst browsing page 1,
of the 65XX series of rolls Matthew's Wurlitzer 165 catalog at
http://www.wurlitzer-rolls.com/index1.html#6500

In the listing of roll 6577 I stumbled upon that Liberty Bell, tune 2
on the roll, was listed as being a two step and not a march which it
appears as on the roll it earlier appeared on, roll 6529.

The finished article will appear in and be read by AMICANs across the
globe in the May/June AMICA Bulletin this year.
