Hello friends, Since being a full-time member of AMICA as well as chief
secretary of my AMICA chapter, I have been trying so hard to identify
the 7th tune on Wurlitzer 165 roll 6516 (but not the evergreen roll that
begins with F. W. Meacham's American Patrol). Tune 7 on this roll is a
waltz which has yet to be identified by band organ fanatics (more so
fanatics of the Wurlitzer 165 scale) such as myself, Glenn Thomas, and
Mikey Mills.
Roll 6516 was produced by Wurlitzer some time in 1915, which led to
research both waltzes and hesitation waltzes from around 1915, 1914,
1916, etc. One possibility that I listened which sounded very similar
to the tune was Frank McKee's "Rosalie Waltz" from 1914 but it was way
off by many notes, unfortunately. Hopefully someday myself or some
other young 165 fanatic will identify the tune and roll 6516-A will be
finally complete with all ten tunes named.
This unidentified tune can be heard here on Wurlitzer 165 band organ
no. 2992 that used to be owned by Dr. Bill Black of Carrousel Music and
is now in the American Treasure Tour collection:
