The AMICA Bulletin's March April, 2019, edition has been completed
and published. Electronic edition subscribers should be getting
their emailed version about now. Print subscribers should have it
around February 20.
If you've always been curious about MIDI, this issue is a must for
you with the first several articles in our "Complete Guide to MIDI".
We start with an introductory, illustrated article with all the basics.
That is followed by articles on "Roll Scanning and Replication" and
"Installing MIDI in a Pneumatic Instrument." The next two AMICA
Bulletins will also have more on MIDI.
But that's not all. Matt Jaro takes you on a journey to "The Obscure,
Strange, and Unsuccessful" mechanical music companies and instruments
that failed. We also have an extended, illustrated report on the
great "Sanfilippo Holiday Party Extravaganza."
The AMICA Bulletin is growing, 72 pages this edition -- our largest
in years! That's because we have so much to say and share. If you
haven't yet joined AMICA, you should now near the beginning of 2019,
and we will send you every AMICA Bulletin for the year. Go to
