Hi All, I have on loan to me an outstanding Capitol "G" roll with
no roll number. The music on it is great; the only problem is that
I know only one song: tune 1, which is a _hot_ dance arrangement of
"Old Man River" from "Showboat". With that in mind, I imagine that
this roll dates from at least early 1928, though could be later.
Tune 4 is also familiar but I can't think of the name.
You can listen to each of the 10 tunes here played on my virtual
'Seeburg G': https://www.mechanicalmusic.org/unidentified-music
To my knowledge, this roll has never been recut. If there's enough
interest in this, I'd be willing to change that.
Thanks to any help that can get this roll and its music identified!
