Roo Glue comes from Oregon. There are more formulations than the
Internet site shows. They make a version with faster set time and
stronger initial tack than the glue sold on-line.
There are actually four companies making a plastic glue for gluing
plastic laminate to wood that I found: Franklin Glue, National Casein,
Specialty Polymers (Roo Glue WR-400), and Spectrum Adhesives (CP-401).
I tried all but the Franklin Glue in test over the summer. National
Casein, the maker of PVC-E glue, has a new version available that works
well. Regular Roo Glue that is sold did not hold nylon cloth well.
The Roo Glue WR-400 does a nice job. Spectrum Adhesives CP-401 does
well. Both can be thinned with water to seal pouches and leather used
in pumps. Spectrum also makes a super strong wood glue for commercial
use under a different part number.
The bottom line is there are more glues available than Titebond Wood
Workers Glue but many are not on the Internet. Contact the engineers
at your favorite glue company. Franklin has a wood glue for wood,
sold only in drums for commercial use, that is nicer than any of the
over-the-counter glues.
