Some weeks ago I asked for help fixing my PianoLodeon that I purchased
from eBay. Thanks to all that contacted me with suggestions on how to
get the motor going again and for John Tuttle who furnished the new
rubber tubing.
The motor shaft was seized to the top bushing, and I was not sure how
to free it. I used ALL the chemicals suggested with no success. Then
a friend stopped by and broke it loose using a plastic hammer. Today
I installed the new rubber tubing, and it came to life playing like it
probably did when it was made.... just a little noisier.
Now everything in my collection is playable except for an Aurephone
organette. I have no rolls for it yet, and it has a few minor issues.
Thanks to all who suggested so many creative tips for getting the
PianoLodeon to work.
