At an antique shop recently I came across a Bornand Music Box the
like of which I have not before encountered.  This particular music
box opens from the front instead of the top.

While I am not an authority, I have seen a great many music
boxes.  However, none of them opened at the front.  But, being of
a suspicious nature, I have to wonder if this is a unusual original
or a manufactured rarity.

After considerable searching the on the Internet, I have failed
to find anything similar.  Any information from more experienced
collectors would be appreciated.
