Seek Used Piano Roll Scanner
By Robert McFeeters

My name is Robert McFeeters. I am a retired piano technician,
specializing in player piano sales and service. This includes both
pneumatically or solenoid operated units.

I am very interested in getting into roll scanning. This is definitely
the way to preserve the world's finest musical performances for future
generations to enjoy.

Being a player piano technician, I would like to acquire 1) a used roll
scanner, functioning or not functioning, 2) schematic wiring diagrams,
3) a comprehensive parts list for scanner electronics and necessary
hardware, 4) photographs of parts or 5) any information that will help
me acquire what I need to get started.

I have a solenoid operated piano and am used to loading MIDI files
into the program that plays the piano. It can handle MIDI Type 0 or
MIDI Type 1 files. I have 50+ years of active piano servicing and,
if the parts were available, I could assemble them into a working piano.

I no longer am on the road, but I do consult with anyone needing piano
service via e-mail or telephone. Thank you for the opportunity to be a
part of this huge undertaking.
