Regarding Mark James's post [180503 MMDigest], knowing something
about where the barrel piano was made (country or maker) and
anything else about the geography of its early life, if available,
might help narrow the search for the title of a tune.

I had a similar problem with an orchestrion that was made in Brno,
in the Austro-Hungarian empire, later Czechoslovakia.  I was able
to identify song titles only when I sent the recordings to friends
in Prague.  They were able to identify over a dozen tunes for me!
