AMICA Bulletin March-April 2018 Edition Published
By Glenn Thomas
The AMICA Bulletin's March-April, 2018, edition has been printed and
will shortly be mailed to subscribers. The electronic PDF version
is available now.
While modesty precludes shameless hyperbole, I can honestly say this
edition has several formidable articles where each could each be
a sole lead. First, mechanical music legend David Bowers has penned
a riveting memoir about his lifelong adventure in this great field.
Most of the material and images have never before been published.
Next, Matt Jaro's second installment on music roll perforators and
the people that make or use them is a must for everyone interested
in punched holes in paper that make music.
Still not enough? Articles on the Ampico B and blues pianist James
P. Johnson round out the major stories.
