88 vs. 82-Note Rolls

> how many notes are actually sounded on a normal 88- or 82-note roll?

One roll that comes to mind was QRS "Born Free" that played one of the
top four notes.  "Sleigh Ride" on Klavier or Play-Rite plays the top
A note.
