Our website attracts attention to both street organs and calliopes.
I received a request for help in finding a calliope for a Shrine
Circus event next March in Reno, Nevada. The message is contained
below.
Cody also said he could work with a band organ. If you know of
anyone who can help Cody, please pass this information to them.
Thanks,

"My name is Cody Conway and I am Chief Rabban for the Kerak Shriners
in Reno, Nevada. I am in charge of the Shriner's Circus to be presented
March 2-4, 2018, at Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center (RSLEC). I am
curious if you know of anyone on the West Coast that I may be able to
contact in order to use or rent a calliope for our circus.
"I feel as though the modern circus has lost touch with the traditional
circus; with modern music and stunts, it just isn't the same. And,
being a Klown, I am trying to change that and provide more authenticity
and fun to our circus, seeing that most are closing their tents.
"Honestly, I will take what I can get -- depending on the price, of
course. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated; after
all, it's all for the children! Thank you for your time."

[ A U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran, Cody performs as 'Jughead the
[ Klown' with the Shriners 'Klown' troupe. As the show producer for
[ Kerak Shriners, he hopes the calliope music will bring back the
[ nostalgia of the old-time traveling circus. He says the calliope
[ or fair organ probably will perform outside the fairground building
[ before the show, and possibly in a parade in the city. -- Robbie
