Another Year of MMD
By Luke Myers

Well, it is hard for me to believe that the 2017 mechanical year is
already coming to a close. This year has gone by faster than any year
previous, at least for myself. Here are some tidbits which I hope you
will all enjoy.

- What reproducing piano has been extensively rebuilt by Art Reblitz?
  A Duo-"Art".

- What's a player piano owner's favorite motto?
  "Let the Music Roll"

- There are two kinds of White Christmases; one comes with cold
  and the other comes rolled.

- There were two interesting fellows who headed up a player piano
business; their names were Crane-Neck and Back. Crane-neck was
_the_ expert at looking deep into the recesses of players. Back
was always having spinal problems. Therefore a big percentage of
the work fell on the shoulders of Crane-Neck.

- J. Lawrence always loved to Cook up really good arrangements.
Once he "Pepped" it up the "Laney" with his friend Sid.

- Hi was always looking for Babits in the field, but I am sorry
to say he never found a single one.

- After a famous piano roll artist finished his score, Max Kortlander
exclaimed, "Oh man, Phil! You need to Lee S. that to Roberts."

- Irving told many folks that in winter, he dreaded going back
  to Brr-lin.

- There used to be a very muscular man who exercised by lifting
two metal-valved Bush and Lane player actions at once. Folks may
  remember him as Durrell Arm's-Strong.

- It was a very Raney day when Terry Hathaway discovered the treasure
of his first nickelodeon. But the strange thing was, the streets
  were completely dry!

- Jo, Ann headed to the Castle in a big hurry, so she could Put Another
Nickel In. She was not very tall, just Five Foot Two with Eyes of Blue.

- "Built to a Standard, Not Down To a Price." -- Standard Player Action

And finally, the climax of it all -- what it all comes down to, is
that we are all Just Friends, Looking Over a Four-Leaf Clover, when
It's Three o'clock In the Morning, in the Good Old Summer Time.
