I attended the MBSI Convention in Seattle in 1979 and I was asked to
give a "workshop" about my perforator, to stand in for Doyle Lane,
as he could not attend.
Murtogh Guinness was attending this event. I played my music roll rag
called "Calliope Rag", by James Scott. Afterward Ed Fryer said to me
that Murtogh would like that piano roll if you have a spare as he has
this tune on a small music box and he wants the tune for his 88-note
player piano. So we met in the bar and I sold the Calliope Rag roll to
Mr. Guinness. Most likely the Roll will be in the Guinness Collection.
This rag, so far as I know, has not been published on a general basis.
It was taken out of the book "They All Played Ragtime"
