Seek Music Bands for Kalliston Organette
By Peter Trodd

I have just acquired a 28-note Kalliston Organette (24 notes and four
bell strikers) in playing condition, Unfortunately it has only three
good music bands and about six others which will play after a fashion
but could probably be copied if someone had the right equipment.

I believe these are quite rare so buying further metal bands is
probably going to be difficult, hence the question can we copy old
bands, as I am sure there must be a lot more damaged bands available.

My question is has anyone attempted to make or copy these music bands
in the past? The originals are made of zinc but I think they could be
made from sheet brass, thin sheet steel or perhaps aluminium.

The music bands measure 125 mm wide and are 1215 mm long (or 4-7/8 by
47-3/4 inches) with the music hole width of 2.67 mm or 0.103 inches.

Regards,

Peter Trodd
