Regulating The Piano Action To The Ampico Action
By Ben Gottfried

Mike Nicholls asks about how to lower an Ampico stack. The stove bolts
with the nuts on them are used to lock the stack into position by using
the nuts to lock the stack with down pressure. These bolts are to the
outside. The inside stove bolts without the nuts are used to raise and
lower the stack. The large hex head bolt is used to hold the tiers
together -- do not over tighten this bolt as you can crush the tiers.
