Decap Herentals Organ in Circus Performance
By Wallace Venable

I accidentally discovered this Decap organ in a video while looking for
something else. Circus Ronaldo calls the show "La Cucina dell'Arte."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQf13I7nTdY

They use an organ built by Tony Decap as the background music for their
act. The instrument is described as a barrel organ, but I suspect it
is MIDI controlled. It appears to be based on a Decap accordion, with
added plucked strings and percussion. I have not found a video
featuring the organ itself.

The act includes pizza spinning, which is worth watching even if you
are not interested in music.

Circus Ronaldo is a small Belgian circus which tours under canvas,
but focuses on "circus theater" rather than traditional short acts.
They have appeared at circus festivals in the USA and Australia as
well as in Europe.

A search on YouTube easily turns up videos of other performances,
and of them erecting tents, etc. I envy their caravan -- traditional
on the outside, but with a spacious modern interior. Much of the
dialog on the videos is in Flemish or Italian, so I couldn't follow
their interviews, but their performances transcend language.

Their regular touring performances in Belgium include a lot of live
music played by the performers themselves, with a lot of traditional
European musical clowning.
