Hello all, I have decided to close down my piano repair operation
and cease the building of my "Bergytone" line of vacuum pumps and
accessories. Orders had fallen to nearly zero in the summer, so
I decided to go back to my engineering job full time. It sure is
nice to have full medical insurance and a regular paycheck!
I had many loyal customers in the last nine years and I appreciate the
kudos I received regarding the quality of my pumps. I still have parts
to build about another 70 speed controllers, so if any of you want to
build your own pump, I will be offering them until these parts are
gone.
I can also supply you with a set of instructions to show you how to
make your own pump box and motor. This info would be included with
each speed controller ordered. Contact me direct if you are interested
in this offer.
Thank you to all of you who have purchased my pumps, I enjoyed talking
and email chatting with you. Many, many of my customers were just
average hobbyists, and I must say, every one of the kits were installed
without problems. If I can claim every kit I sold as saving a piano
from the dump, then I have "restored" over 600 pianos in the nine years
I was making these vacuum kits.
I may return to making these some day, when I'm fully retired; who
knows. But until then, I plan on enjoying my music collection and my
Weber Duo-Art, which will soon be MIDI-operated thanks to Herb Lindahl
and the Hunt Virtual Roll system!
