Seek Color Photo of Link Style C Orchestrion
By Bob Conant

Dear MMDers, Many, many years ago I acquired an orphaned front panel
from a Link orchestrion which I believe is a Style C. At the time we
were living in Endicott, New York, near Binghamton, home of the Link
Piano Company. We also had a Link Style AX which had a different
front.

I brought home this orphan piece of glass, cleaned it up, and made
a frame for it with lights behind the torches. I hung this over my
mantle in the living room. When we moved to Florida in 2004, I gave
this framed Link panel to my son, who still lives in Endwell, New York.
He gets people in from time to time who are impressed with the glass
and want to know more about it.

To that end, I am going to try to find a nice color picture of a Link
Style C orchestrion to frame with a short description of this type of
piano. There is a nice shot of one on page 216 of Art Reblitz' book,
"The Treasures Of Mechanical Music" but it is in black and white. Does
anyone have, or know where I can find a color picture that I could blow
up and use to present it to my son?

Attached is a shot of my Link glass hanging over my son, Darrin's,
mantle. Actually, I guess it's his Link glass now.

Regards,
Bob Conant
Bradenton, Florida
