I have owned a Hobart M. Cable player piano, serial number 81996, for
about 50 years. It has served me well through the various times that
I have taken lessons. But I am ready to pass it on to its next owner.
The player mechanism is not operational; something about the bellows.
I had it evaluated by Bob & Sonja Lemon in the 1980s, but unfortunately
I cannot find any record of what they said. The finish is not in very
good condition. There is a bench to go with it. It has been in my
temperature-controlled home on an inside wall throughout the time I have
owned it.
I would like to give it someone who would appreciate it and possibly
restore it. I do not want it to end up in a landfill. I do not want
any money for it, and I will split the moving expense with whomever
takes it.
If you or anyone you know is interested, please contact me. Thank you.
