Forty years ago, when I was actively restoring player pianos,
I obtained a Seeburg KT, SN 158741. It had been "antiqued" a hideous
shade of green, and it had had a bass drum, cymbal, and snare drum
with both single-stroke and repeating beaters added to it. The piano,
mandolin, xylophone, tambourine, castanets, and triangle were still
there, of course.
At the time I refinished it, but the works was too much for me to
tackle at that time. I decided to save it for a retirement project.
That time has now come, and I'm ready to dive into it. I'm wondering
if there is any such thing as a tubing diagram for a KT? (The tubing,
hoses, and whatever else inside is, almost literally, a can of worms.)
Are there any other KT-specific tips that anyone could offer me?
Finally, considering that it has the additional instruments, what
tracker bar layout would you recommend in order to optimize its G-Roll
sound?
I'm all ears! Thanks!
