FS: Welte Philharmonic Player Pipe Organ
By Dave Krall

For sale: 2 manual, 10 rank Welte organ, number 216, originally built
in 1926 for the Commercial Club of Los Angeles but never installed.
It sat in the Barker Bros. Department Store warehouse for a year and
then was sold to Mr. & Mrs. John Way of Pasadena and installed in their
home.

The organ is incomplete due to the incompetence of the previous owner.
However, all the important parts are intact including the beautiful
walnut 2-manual player console, the chests, regulator, tremulants,
49-note harp and the stops reversible machine and pedal reverse.
Chimes, swell shades and some pipework is missing but these are all
things that can be replaced. It will need a new relay.

Included is the original Welte 10-roll roll changer that was with the
organ. There are also two more roll changers, one which was in process
of a complete rebuilding/restoration, about 80% finished. There are
at least 300 rolls plus another 150 or so duplicates. They are all
fantastic music including quite a few popular dance rolls. I have
extra parts (two vacuum pedal reverse mechanisms and several spoolboxes
and extra tracker bars) as well as the original Welte perforator.
I am open to offers for everything as a lot.
