CDs Of New Wurlitzer 165 Band Organ Rolls
By David Kelzenberg

[ Ref. Andrew Lardieri in 170813 MMDigest --

As one who greatly appreciates the special sound of Wurlitzer band
organs, I am always excited to see new arrangements being made and cut.
However, it is frustrating to know that I will probably never have a
chance to hear these arrangements, since I (like the vast majority of
us) do not own an organ capable of playing 165 rolls. (I don't own
_any_ mechanical instruments, but I sure enjoy listening to them!)

May I suggest that those who go to the trouble of making these
arrangements and having them cut onto new rolls please consider
finding a suitable organ and making decent sound recordings of their
arrangements? I would love to buy a CD of their arrangements, in
halfway decent sound, on a good instrument! I don't imagine it would
be a money-maker, but it would allow these arrangements to be heard
by a much larger audience, and would probably encourage purchase of
the rolls by those who actually own appropriate organs.

Please?
