Well, the other day I was talking to a man who said he was gaining
strength weakly. That man also told me that Jody had bought a Rhodes
piano from Robbie. In the afternoon, I heard Don Teaching a bunch of
player repair apprentices. Don's helper, Doug, impressed upon the
students, the importance of having as many Bullocks as possible in
moving a big upright piano.
One time that same day, a student named David got Dewey-eyed when Don
shouted at him, but Stephen Kent reassured the student that he was
indeed a Good Man.
Terry was giving directions to the piano movers, telling them to go
"Hathaway." Art proposed having a Reblitz on cleaning as much of his
shop as possible. He had to discipline one of his workers, leaving a
Red Welte on his arm.
Pretty soon a storm came up and Gordon suggested they all go to his
"Stelter." It was made of concrete. When the door wouldn't budge,
Mike ordered his helper to get a Hanchett and chop down the door.
The most memorable moment was when Harvey put a Roehl into the player
and pumped away, while reminiscing all of Larry's Givens'.
