Preserving Rare Musical Box Ephemera
By Kevin Kline

In response to Kevin McElhone's post [170729 MMDigest] about preserving
paper items, books and ephemera, I agree that all reasonable efforts
should be taken to preserve, protect and make available information
concerning these items.

I have been collecting these items for more than thirty years and
continue to search for other examples. I have catalogued about 2,600
items which range in age from 1589 to new items published in 2017.
They should be kept out of direct sunlight, and especially fragile
items should be placed in conservator-type envelopes or special
clamshell-type boxes.

I am always pleased to provide advise to fellow collectors about items
or methods of conservation without cost or obligation.

Kevin F Kline
