Seek Photos Of Jeanne Malone, Play-Rite
By Matthew Caulfield
We come and we go in this life and sometimes there is not much
pictorial evidence of our existence.
I am looking for a picture of the late Jeanne Malone, the mother
of Play-Rite's owner John Malone. Jeanne was the lady who ran the
roll-making business that produced all the non-88-note rolls made by
Play-Rite, working pretty much single-handedly at her shop adjoining
her home on North Palm Street in Turlock, California.
I visited Jeanne Malone a couple of times when she was in her eighties,
but never took a picture of her. She died in 2005, still producing
music rolls. Now I am trying to find a picture of her to use in
connection with a little article I am writing.
Do you have a picture of Jeanne Malone or know where I might find one
in the hobby magazines devoted to mechanical music?
