Would any MMDers have any detailed notes, or know of any specific
books, literature, technical bulletins on restoring these German
orchestrions? They play the Hupfeld Animatic S rolls.
My machine is the model where all of the percussion, mandolin and
xylophone are in the same cabinet, not the version that has the
separate cabinet for the drums, wood block, cymbal and xylophone --
although restoration of the parts would be the same. I would be
only too happy to pay for photocopying, books, journals and of
course their postage to Australia should anyone be able to assist.
I have recently managed to get the machine firing again and it sounds
good enough as is, to warrant a full restoration including removing
all of the lead tubing. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
