We are still researching the Swiss cylinder music boxes marked as
Malignon. If anyone reading MMD has or knows of any Malignon marked
music boxes, I would be grateful if you will please contact me.
We are seeking data from these interesting mechanisms, including
serial number stamped in left rear corner of bedplate, approximate
size of the numerals of the serial number, presence of brass washers
beneath the comb mounting screws (or absence of any washers there),
photos if possible of the mechanism, program card if surviving, whether
there is a second tune list pasted to the underside of the case, length
of cylinder, total number of comb teeth, single (one piece) comb or
multiple combs, bells?, how many tunes played?, description of case...
If you can contribute any Malignon information, please respond by
email to musicboxrestoration@gmail.com.geentroep [delete ".geentroep"
to reply].
Thank you!
