Replacement Piano Hammers for Ampico Grand
By Michael Swanson

The time has come to replace the hammers on my 6'4" Knabe Ampico grand
piano. Piano hammers have not been discussed in a number of years so
I would like to know what others have used and liked since piano hammer
manufacturers have some new products and a few new manufacturers have
emerged also.

This Knabe Ampico is a very powerful instrument so my inclination is to
go with a softer hammer. My question is what brand and type of piano
hammer have people had success with? What is favored for a reproducing
piano? Do you have any recommendations on what to use on my piano?
