Hi Jody & Robbie, I don't recall seeing an update on the upcoming
conference on the player piano to be held at Cornell University in
Ithaca, New York, May 4-6, 2017.
The schedule has been announced and is available on their website
(see link below). Among others, the presenters will include Rex
Lawson and Bob Berkman.
Most of the conference is oriented around classical music, but there
will be some discussion of ragtime, early jazz piano and blues. Also,
there will be discussion around how the player piano helped to teach
a new generation of pianists.

[ The MMD website has a calendar page which has not been maintained for
[ years for want of a "Calendar Editor" or "Calender Curator". The
[ mechanism I used was complicated to maintain and required the maintenance
[ to be done by one person only. I could replace it with a Google Calendar
[ which could receive input from several assistant calendar editors. Google
[ calendars are extremely easy to update but requre that you have or get
[ a Gmail account. If there were multiple "Calendar Edtiors" the workload
[ would be low.
[
[ I you would consider being an assitant calendar editor, please contact
[ me at kravitz@mmdigest.com.geentroep (deleting .geentroep, of course) and
[ let me know you can help. Thank you! --Jody
