Repairing Cracked Chime Tubes
By Richard Giaccio

I faced a similar problem (as described in the 17.04.09 MMD posting),
with several cracked chime tubes in my 1915 Aeolian residential player
pipe organ. Some of the cracks extended nearly half the length of the
tube.

Fortunately, a good friend of mine is an expert welder and metalworker.
He repaired them in the manner described at the link in the comment on
the MMD posting. They sound great and the cost was very reasonable. His
contact information for anyone interested is telephone 1-315-463-1665
or email sgtyork@yahoo.com.geentroep [delete ".geentroep" to reply].
