Would any MMD readers have a complete expression unit on legs, that is
present in an Upright Licensee piano? My young friend, Luke Lindblom,
is planning to restored a recently acquired 1919 Ahlstrom (Jamestown,
New York) Welte Licensee upright piano that is missing the entire lower
expression unit, that stands on metal feet. The piano's upper stack and
tubing, lower pedal pneumatics, Welte box pump, air motor governor,
electric motor, electric push/pull switch and associated pneumatic are
all present.
Apparently someone thought that they would "fix" the Welte player at
some time, but either died or lost interest in the project before
reinstalling the expression unit back into the piano. Thanks.
